Garden Design
A well-designed garden can restore the body, mind and soul. It draws us in and away to places and moments of fascination and awe. We create bespoke gardens for gardeners of wide abilities and diverse locations. We believe in a co-design process that brings the garden users together. Through this we select styles, plants and materials that match needs and tastes. We also identify adaptations and modifications to layouts, beds, paths, planters and seats to make a safe, accessible space to enjoy both active and passive encounters with nature.
Program Development
Horticultural therapy happens within organizations and communities. We work with schools, nursing homes, and community groups to develop program goals and activities that fit their needs and interests. We can advise about how to use existing facilties or to develop new ones, as well about practicalities like equipment and supplies. We provide in-service consultations and trainings, and can help to develop interdisciplinary treatment collaborations.
“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”
