Frequently Asked Questions
Shopping and pickup
-
Flowers and herbs are available through markets and pop-ups, drop-off locations, select local businesses, local pickup, and delivery by arrangement. Availability changes with the season, so the best way to know what’s available now is to read the Mountain Grown News emails, watch for Season Pass messages or check the website.
-
Pickup locations include the Davis Farmers Market on summer Fridays, the farm stand in Canaan Valley on Saturdays, the farm by arrangement, or other designated locations, when available. Pickup and delivery options may change from week to week.
-
Delivery is limited, but can be available on select items or by arrangement. A fee may apply.
-
Yes. Many seasonal offerings are available through pre-orders, custom orders, or the Flower Season Pass. Ordering ahead helps reserve the best available flowers.
Flowers and Flower Season Passes
-
No two weeks are exactly the same. Flowers are grown, gathered, and arranged in small batches, so availability changes with the season. What is offered depends on what is blooming, what is ready, and what looks best that week.
-
The Flower Season Pass makes it easier to enjoy fresh, seasonal, local flowers throughout the flower season. Purchase a pass for a set number of bouquets, then decide week by week when you’d like flowers.
-
Each Wednesday, passholders receive a short text with that week’s pickup options. To request a bouquet, reply by 8 pm Wednesday and choose where to get it. The bouquet will be prepared for the time and place you select.
-
No. The Flower Season Pass is flexible. While the pass is valid, passholder can decide each week whether to get their flowers.
-
No problem. Simply don’t request a bouquet that week. The bouquet credit remains available to use until the pass expires.
-
Yes, when extra flowers are available. Add that request when you reply to your weekly text, and we’ll do our best.
-
Yes. You’re welcome to give your bouquet as a gift or have a friend or family member collect it for you. Just include that information when you reply.
-
Every bouquet is made from the best flowers available that week. Flowers change naturally through the season, so no two bouquets are exactly alike.
-
Growing flowers means working with the seasons. Weather may change what is blooming, but bouquets will be made from the best flowers available that week. If exceptional weather significantly affects the season, Flower Season Pass holders will be notified.
Bloom Bar, Zoom Blooms, and Custom Flower Orders
-
Bloom Bar is a make-your-own bouquet experience. Fresh blooms are selected and set out for you to explore, mix, and make your own. There’s no formula — just what’s in bloom, what catches your eye, and a little flower mixology.
-
Zoom Blooms are a weekday flower drop for remote workers. Fresh blooms for when your eyes need a break from the screen and your focus starts to drift.
-
Custom orders may be available depending on the season and what is blooming. Feel free to be in touch about flowers for a dinner, guest room, gift, gathering, special occasion, or just because.
-
Yes, flowers make a beautiful gift. Depending on the offering, you may be able to order flowers for someone else or have someone collect them for you.
Herbs and Edible Flowers
-
Herbs are seasonal, like the rest of the farm’s offerings. Availability depends on what is thriving, ready, and available through the growing season.
-
Check the website, read the newsletter, or watch for seasonal updates. Herbs and edible flowers may be available through the farm stand, Davis Farmers Market, custom orders, and select seasonal offerings.
