Pickin’ in Parsons. Pickin’ flowers, too.

Hello!

It’s Pickin’ in Parsons this week; the annual Yocum Tucker County staycation.

You won’t be surprised to read that neither Tom nor I are that good at sitting still for long, but we do our best.

The Pickin’ in Parsons festival is the best of all worlds - a break, the beautiful mountain roads of Tucker County every day, fresh air, live music, the finest bluegrass musicians in the business, and then home to a big Daisy dog welcome back and the comforts of my own bed.

A reminder that we won’t be at the markets this week.

But, I’m happy to say, however, that flowers are still going to be out and about in Canaan Valley. I’ve sold a number of “celebration buckets” - a DIY bucket of blooms - this week.

Sure, it’s meant foregoing the Wordle at dawn to harvest ahead of heading down the mountain to our comfy concert chairs. Because things are still blooming even though we’re bluegrassin’ it. And I like being out in the early morning light.

Next week I’ll be sending out information about the August-September season pass. The pilot was a success and I will have capacity to offer 10 new bouquet subscriptions.

If you can’t wait till next week for flowers, just be in touch! We can figure out something to get you flowers or herbs at the start of the week.

Let there be flowers!

Lizz
